Designing ski slope, creating them with your hands and preparing them every night, to have them perfect the next morning: this is the job of a snow groomer driver. Oscar spent his whole life combing the mountains: his biggest pleasure is to be the very first skier on the slope he has just prepared. Shot in Cortina D’Ampezzo, on the Dolomites, Mountaineers is the first episode of a portraits series. It’s about unusual figures who are usually hidden in the back, but who represent the site soul: the mountain in its everyday robe. A garment that lays on the mountain following its shape, like snow on rocks.
